Mission Statement
The goals of The
New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and
Dissociation include :
- Provision of a forum
for the exchange of ideas among professionals
interested in the dissociative disorders.
- Encouragement of the
development of training in the identification and
treatment of the dissociative disorders.
- Establishment and maintenance of high standards of ethical and
professional practice in the treatment and research
of dissociative disorders.
- Encouragement and
promotion of writing and research in the area of the
dissociative disorders.
- Dissemination of
information about dissociative disorders to
interested mental health professionals.
- Service in an advisory
capacity to public agencies and the judicial system,
as may be requested, regarding clinical and
scientific issues in the study and treatment of
dissociative disorders.
